Maverick McNealy secured his maiden PGA TOUR victory at the RSM Classic, capping off a thrilling final round at Sea Island Golf Club. The 27-year-old American, who has been on the Tour for five years, clinched the title with a clutch 6-iron shot to 5 feet for birdie on the 18th hole, sealing a 2-under 68 and a one-shot advantage.
The victory, which came in his 134th career start, marks a significant milestone for McNealy. It not only secures his spot at the prestigious Masters Tournament in April but also grants him an early season start at The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui.
The final round was a rollercoaster of emotions, with multiple players vying for the lead. Daniel Berger, Nico Echavarria, and Florida State sophomore Luke Clanton all had chances to force a playoff but missed crucial putts on the 18th hole. Berger missed a 20-foot birdie attempt that would have extended the tournament. With this victory, McNealy enters his best position held in the Official World Golf Ranking now ranked inside the top 35 for the first time in his career

Asian Tour - LINK Hong Kong Open
Patrick Reed stormed to a runaway victory in the US$2 million Link Hong Kong Open today – to claim the prestigious event for the first time and register his first victory in four years. After his off-the-charts 11-under-par 59 yesterday here at the Hong Kong Golf Club, he signed off with an equally fine 66 today to finish on 22-under, for a convincing three-stroke victory over New Zealand’s Ben Campbell, the defending champion. Campbell ended his excellent defence with a 65, while Japan’s Kazuki Higa shot a 63 to claim third, another shot back. Australian Wade Ormsby, a winner here in 2017 and 2020, shared fourth with Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana. They both fired 65s.

PGA Tour of Australasia & DP World Tour - BMW Australian PGA Championship
Elvis Smylie showed nerves of steel to fend off the challenge of his golfing idol Cam Smith to claim his maiden DP World Tour title with a wire-to-wire victory at the BMW Australian PGA Championship. The 22-year-old only secured his first professional success at the Bowra & O'Dea Nexus Advisernet WA Open last month on the PGA Tour of Australasia and continued his rich vein of form with a two-shot triumph at Royal Queensland Golf Club.
Smylie was one of two players to receive the Cameron Smith Scholarship in 2019 and he began Sunday's round alongside the three-time winner of this event in an all-Australian final group including Marc Leishman.
The Gold Coast native and Smith shared the lead after the second round, but the 150th Open Champion endured a roller coaster front nine which consisted of three birdies and four bogeys as Smylie reached the turn with a three-shot lead thanks to a blemish-free 32.
The son of four-time grand slam doubles champion Liz Smylie displayed calmness with a number clutch par putts down the stretch for a flawless 67 in his total of 14 under par, finishing two clear of Smith.

Japan Golf Tour - Casio World Open Golf Tournament
Veteran golfer Hiroshi Iwata clinched the Casio World Open title on Sunday with a thrilling back-nine charge. The 43-year-old fired a four-under-par 68 to finish at 14-under-par 274, edging out Taisei Shimizu by a single stroke.
Iwata, who started the day two shots off the lead, struggled on the front nine, but turned on the heat on the back nine, carding five birdies to secure the victory. Shimizu, who was hoping to claim his first JGTO title, missed a crucial birdie putt on the final hole that would have forced a playoff.
New Zealand's Michael Hendry, who shared the overnight lead, finished in third place after a final round 72. With this victory, Iwata adds to his impressive resume, claiming his seventh JGTO title and his second of the season.

Sunshine Tour - PGA Championship

Professional Golf Tour of India - IndianOil Servo Masters Golf
The seasoned Jamal Hossain of Bangladesh saw off a stiff challenge from multiple rivals with a stoic final round performance of one-under 71 to bag the crown at the INR 85 lakh IndianOil SERVO Masters 2024 played at the Digboi Golf Links in Digboi, Assam.
Jamal (68-65-72-71) totalled 12-under 276 for the week to win his fifth title by a narrow one-shot margin. Hossain picked up a prize money cheque worth INR 12,75,000 to jump 22 spots from 39th to 17th place in the TATA Steel PGTI Ranking.

Paul Boshoff claimed a two-stroke victory over Xander Basson in the seventh tournament of the season at CMR Golf Club on Thursday, ending a six-year trophy drought in the process. His final-round 67 took his tournament total to 17-under-par 199, two clear of Basson who produced a near-perfect round of 63 to take solo second. The victory at CMR was Boshoff’s second on this circuit, having one at Randpark Golf Club in 2018. Ironically, that victory also came in the seventh tournament of that season.
